**Warning** Una-Buck Below
I made it out to the Annandale property this afternoon (8/15/09) to put the final touches on my stands for the upcoming MN deer season. I have one ladder stand left to set and I will be ready for the season. The sign in Annandale is really starting to show. My food plot is completely grown in and there is deer sign all around it. Below is a photo of my food plot.
I also added secondary ratchets straps to a couple of my sets and put some finishing touches on shooting lanes. There is plenty of sign within 25 yards of each one of my sets. I finished the afternoon by rebuilding ground zero. I placed it in the same area I filled a management tag 3 seasons ago. I built ground zero using a section of fencing and some fence posts. I then placed some dead falls in front it and weaved brush through the fencing. Ground zero is drop dead sexy and will be a deadly spot the first month of the season! Below is a picture of the view from the new and improved ground zero.
After switching out my camera card and replacing the batteries I moved my camera to a new location. I have over a 800 pictures from the old location so I figured it was time for something new. I placed the camera at a new fence crossing Mike and I made about a month ago. The deer have been using the new crossing to enter a soy bean field and it looks like a freeway in and out of the beans.
Below are some of the pictures I got off my trail camera over the past 3 weeks. I had 352 pictures in all. Half of those where coons, but the deer activity is really picking up. On top of some good deer photos I had two coyote photos and my bear showed up two times in one day. The bear also slapped my camera around a bit so once again I have some pictures that are a bit sideways. The deer activity is also starting to change from strictly night time to some daytime activity. Only one month until bow opener!
